Rondal Partridge

Rondal Partridge, Photographer: A Portfolio of Prints. Folio. As new. San Francisco, 2003.

We offer a limited edition portfolio of the photographers work. This beautiful limited edition portfolio by Rondal Partridge contains five of the photographers images, covering his work between 1940 and 1988. Son of photographer Imogen Cunningham and etcher Roi Partridge, Rondal Partridge, as a teenager, apprenticed with Ansel Adams and Dorothea Lange. Since that time his career has been as a photographer focusing on his own style, exemplified by the images in this portfolio.

All the photographs are signed by Rondal Partridge in the lower right-hand corner. The Platinum prints are printed on paper hand-coated by the photographer. The prints are matted 13 by 16 inches with warm-white, archival mat board. The portfolio of photographs is presented in a 14 inch by 17 inch clamshell box, hand-bound in Japanese silk, with the title stamped in gold on the front and side. The portfolio also contains a short, personal essay entitled Glimpses of a Universe by Daniel Dixon, long-time friend of Partridge and son of Dorothea Lange and Maynard Dixon. The essay is printed letterpress on fine paper in a four-page descriptive folder. The Portfolio presentation and printed pieces were designed by the Año Nuevo Island Press.

The Portfolio was limited to only 40 hand-numbered sets, most of which have been previously sold. We offer the last few remaining sets at $3000. each plus appropriate sales tax and/or postage.
